A little about Rita -
Rita Brown was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She became a teacher after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education. Following her first career, she became a massage therapist working in the Whitehall and Butte areas for several years before transitioning into a new opportunity. She is currently the owner of Rita B Embroidery, offering hand- and machine-stitched embroidered items, cross-stitched art, and textile creations providing unique, nostalgic beauty. She provides many services, including branded items for businesses as well as custom and personalized items of all sorts. As part of her business, Rita also provides services in practical and/or visible mending and clothing embellishment. She brings a lifelong love of handmade art and memories. She has been stitching for as long as she can remember, back to a time when her grandma lovingly passed down the art and skills to her. Rita is the mother of two grown daughters, enjoys spending time with her family, and has a passion for learning new and unique ways to create beautiful things.
Come down and talk with Rita about her book here all month and at the showcase on the 31st!
