Gold Panning Class

Strike it rich—Montana style! Join us at the Montana Western Legacy Center in Whitehall, MT, for a hands-on Gold Panning Class where you’ll learn the techniques prospectors used during the historic Montana gold rush.

Whether you're a beginner or just curious about gold panning, this fun and educational class will teach you how to properly pan for gold, identify promising material, and understand the basics of placer mining. It’s a great activity for families, history lovers, and anyone who wants to experience a little piece of Montana’s mining heritage.

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Cost: $10 per person

For an additional $25, you can purchase your own Gold Panning Kit to take home and keep the adventure going!
